The water of the Dead Sea is saltier than any other body of water in the world, with a salt concentration reaching up to 34%. The extremely high concentration of dissolved mineral salts makes the water much denser than regular freshwater.
Since our body weight is lighter (less dense) than the water, we float more easily in the Dead Sea, making swimming effortless.
